Dear everyone in the Kamihayakawa Valley,
上早川渓谷の皆様へ

Gradually the cold season is approaching and the first snow may fall as early as this month. I hope that everyone is doing well and that we all will not suffer from catching cold this winter.
徐々に寒い季節が近づいており、今月にも初雪が降るかもしれません。皆さんお元気で、風邪を引かないことを願っています。

In early November we will get some business visitors from Europe. A group of investors from Switzerland are interested in setting up a cheese production facility in Japan. Itoigawa’s Hayakawa valley is regarded as a potential location for the business, since the landscape with its mountains look like in Switzerland. It would be a very nice opportunity for the Hayakawa valley if this idea could be realized. I plan to write more about this subject in the next newsletter.
11月上旬にはヨーロッパからビジネス客を迎えます。スイスの投資家グループが、日本でのチーズ生産施設の設立に興味を示しています。糸魚川の早川渓谷は、山の景色がスイスのように見えることから、このビジネスの拠点になる可能性があると考えられている。このアイデアが実現できれば、早川渓谷にとってとても良い機会になるでしょう。私はこの事について次のニュースレターでもっと書くつもりです。
