Dear everyone in KamiHayakawa!

I hope that everyone is doing well and that the early summer heat will not cause any trouble to you. In June a Swiss based German TV company decided to make a documentary movie about the Izakaya Nozomi in Luzern, who’s owner Beni Egli visited us in April 2019. Beni visited Itoigawa with his family for a Rice, Sake and Sansai experience. He was very much impressed with the new taste that he has discovered in Itoigawa and recommended to the TV company to also include Itoigawa in the documentary movie. In July we have arranged an interview with Sake brewer Inomata-san, rice farmer Hara-san and the Sansai-collectors around Higuchi-san. Thank you very much for your kind contribution! According to the TV company, the documentary movie will be released in Switzerland in autumn this year. Needless to say that we will try to get a copy of it in order to share it with you.
In July we planned to climb Mt. Yakeyame, however, bad weather did not support this plan and we look forward to joining the local community again for the hike up Mt. Yakeyama in autumn.

みなさんお元気でお過ごしのことと存じます。初夏の暑さがみなさんに迷惑をかけないことを願っています。6月、スイスを拠点とするドイツのテレビ会社が、ルツェルンの居酒屋のぞみについてのドキュメンタリー映画を製作することを決定しました。オーナーのベニ・エグリは2019年4月に家族と一緒に米・お酒・山菜体験のため糸魚川を訪れました（山菜は湯川内センターで地元の皆さんから体験させていただきました）。彼は糸魚川で発見した新しい味に非常に感銘し、ドキュメンタリー映画に糸魚川も含めるようにテレビ会社に推薦したのです。7月には、酒造業の猪又さん、稲作農家の原さん、樋口さんはじめ山菜取り名人の方々にインタビューを行いました。みなさんの親切な貢献に感謝します！テレビ会社によると、このドキュメンタリー映画は今年秋にスイスで公開されます。もちろん、あなたと共有するために、私たちはそれのコピーを入手する予定です。
7月に焼山登山を予定していましたが、悪天候のためこの計画はうまくいかず、秋の焼山登山で地域の皆様と一緒に参加することを楽しみにしています。
